Animated short film: Coffee Matters

日前,“全国832个贫困县全部脱贫摘帽”的重磅消息一经报道,就迅速冲上热搜。

喜讯传来之际,由中国搜索承办的外宣工作创新性、基础性平台——“中国好故事”数据库,与“复兴路上工作室”联合推出最新力作——中英双语动画短视频《一杯咖啡里的脱贫故事》。
 
这是一个跨越时空的故事

百年前

小小咖啡豆远渡重洋

在茶叶之乡落地生根

百年后

东方精品豆翻越大山

在国际赛事崭露头角

一杯醇香的云南咖啡

讲述了中国精准脱贫的生动故事

打造了世界减贫事业的范例样本

我们用近50张手绘图

将水墨淡彩和后印象派融为一体

恰如这一杯云南咖啡

调和了东西方的风味
 
将地球两端的人们连接在了一起。

《一杯咖啡里的脱贫故事》在网上播放后,不少海内外网友为短视频中讲述的“甜蜜的小故事”点赞,并表示希望看到更多的中国故事。

“这是个甜蜜又可爱的小故事,表现手法也很棒,这才是中国应该对世界讲述的故事,希望能听到更多(中国)文化方面的故事。”
 

Recently, China declared that all of its 832 impoverished counties have now been lifted out of poverty. To mark this milestone, Fuxing Road Studio and the China Story database have jointly released an animated short film titled "Coffee Matters." The film tells the story of Chinese coffee beans, which were introduced to Yunnan province from the West over a century ago, becoming popular across the world and helping locals in Yunnan escape poverty and improve their wellbeing.

 

A century ago, a few coffee beans travelled thousands of miles from the West to China, the home of tea, and took root in China's Yunnan province. A century later, premium beans from Yunnan crossed mountains and oceans to show up at the world's market and international competition events, catching the eye of the world. A cup of mellow coffee from Yunnan tells China's lively stories of targeted poverty alleviation and provides an example for the world poverty reduction efforts.
